Worth visiting are the numerous beautiful diving sites in the southwestern coastline, one of which is the famous Pedernales wreck, a ship that had downcast during World War II by German torpedoes. Historical sites that include the oldest building in Aruba called the William III Tower, the Arikok National Park, and a 19th century plant that was once involved in gold processing found in Balashi are also among the famous attractions. Touring these fascinating locations is a must do especially since Aruba has a sunny climate that is balanced by cool winds and typical rains that occur mostly in October and November. What’s more, the charm of Aruba Gold Coast, aside from its wondrous sites, is due to associating the place with pirates. According to its history, this island was once a haven for these seafaring brigands who love to attack ships that transport treasures. Remains of a castle as proof of the said pirate’s existence can still be found at a site called Bushiribana.
